“OHIO TRIO PLUS”
Bill Pittman, also known as “Captain
Swoop” is an Aquarian, born in Dayton, Ohio. A well established bass player,
writer, arranger and producer of a 12-track midi production studio in Los
Angeles, California. Many affluent entertainers including CBS television star,
Della Reese, Joyce Kennedy and Marion Ramsey are among the list of clients. A
pyramid of videos, music and movie film credits make up the versatile tapestry
of a founding member of The Ohio Trio Plus Band and music director
for the vocal group “Seville”.
Billy Butler born in Akron, Ohio
began playing the violin and drums at the age of 8. Billy recorded with Charles
Wright, 103rd Street
Rhythm Band, Anna Gordy of Motown Records, Rufus Thomas and Della Reese.
Television credits include, the late Mr. Pete Show and commercials for Toyota
and the Diet Pepsi Company featuring Ray Charles. Graced with an award winning
smile, electrifying energy and a multitude of personality, the owner of Smiley
‘B’ Productions in Los Angeles, California continues to drum to the beat as a
founding member of The Ohio Trio Plus Band.
Norman Weatherly, keyboard and
background vocals, is proud to say that his career in music began when he was 10
years old, playing in nightclubs and dances in the northeast area of Ohio.
Originally from Akron, Norman made a considerable political contribution to
former president Jimmy Carter by writing and recording a song used in the
campaign for the presidency. Since moving to Los Angeles, The Drifters, The
Coasters, The Platters, Mary Wells and The Marvellettes have found Norman’s
adept skill on the keyboards to be a considerable asset to their live stage
shows. Also Grady Harrell (BMG Records) saw fit to use Norman’s talent to do the
keyboard work on three of the songs on Grady’s album.
Stephan “Steph” Lexner, smooth
guitarist, hails from Paris, France. Steph has made Los Angeles his home since
1987. He is a graduate of Musicians’ Institute in Hollywood and keeps an active
schedule o the L.A. club scene, when not on the road with blues singer Peggy
Scott-Adams.
